In order for warts to appear, two conditions must be met: a person has a papillomavirus infection in the blood (the so-called HPV - human papilloma virus) and his immunity is extremely weakened.
The reduction of the immune forces of the body can occur for many reasons, as well as the infection with a virus can happen in different ways, but the result is the same - the appearance of warts with which you have to fight.Sometimes folk remedies are used.
Traditional medicine has a long history, but often loses in speed and effectiveness to modern methods.
The question of the effectiveness of traditional medicine
Treatment of warts with folk remedies was carried out by our ancestors long before official medicine recognized such growths on the skin as a medical problem and even earlier than the appearance of the terms cryodestruction and laser exposure.Warts were treated with various lotions, infusions, baths and compresses, and these recipes are still used today in the modern world.
Is this treatment effective?
Not always, and there are several explanations for this:
- Each person's body is individual: the degree of development of the virus and its variety (strain) can be different, so one person may not be suitable for the same wart treatment that helped another;
- a modern person can have an allergic reaction to any traditional medicinal component added to the drug against papillomas, which can lead to worsening of growth problems;
- It makes no sense to remove advanced formations that have begun to degenerate into malignant cells using traditional methods, as this will not stop the pathological process of development of skin cancer - melanoma.
This is important!Everyone chooses whether to trust alternative medicine.However, it is best to consult a specialist about this, who will offer the right solution and warn of actions with serious health consequences.
Folk remedies for warts
Answering the question of how to treat warts, it must be said that there are several most common folk remedies.
yellow flowers
The juice of celandine painlessly and effectively removes formations on the skin.
- Take freshly squeezed juice (to extract it, you will have to cut the stem of the plant in the thickest part) and lubricate the wart with the protruding contents.
- Repeat the procedure up to 4 times a day for 3 weeks.
- After the course of treatment, the formation should turn black and fall off.
Acetic acid
As a wart remover, acetic acid should be used with extreme caution;if the safety rules are violated, it can lead to skin burns.
- To prevent the acid from damaging healthy skin, the immediate area around the mole should be sealed with a Band-Aid before application.
- Take flour on the tip of a knife and mix it with 2-3 drops of acetic acid to get a dough-like composition, apply to the wart and then cover it with a sterile bandage.
- A fresh mixture should be applied to the formation daily and after a few days it will begin to die and dry up.
garlic
Powerful antiviral and antiseptic, natural immunomodulator and antibiotic.
- Prepare a paste of garlic (grate 2 cloves) and vegetable oil (2-3 drops).
- Apply the mixture to the wart, cover with plastic wrap and leave for 20 minutes.After the expiration date, apply baby cream to the treated area.
- If the procedure is carried out every other day, within a month even a large formation will dry up and disappear.Alternatively, you can use pure, freshly squeezed garlic juice.
onion
The vegetable has properties similar to garlic.
- Peel the onion, cut it finely and pour the apple cider vinegar into a glass container.After the onion has stood for 3 hours, it must be mashed well.
- Strain the mixture, apply to the wart and cover tightly with a layer of gauze.Keep the compress for 2 hours, then rinse the skin with water, dry it and apply vegetable oil.
- If you carry out the procedure daily for 2 months, the formation will disappear without a trace.
Aloe
A plant that can save you from many problems, including warts.
- Prepare a solution of soda (1 teaspoon of soda to 1 cup of water), soak a cotton ball in it, which you will then use to wipe the growth on the skin.
- Apply the pulp of chopped aloe on the treated skin, cover the compress with a bandage and leave for a quarter of an hour.
- The procedure is carried out daily for 2 weeks, after which the wart will soften so much that it can be easily removed with a pumice stone.
Castor oil
It helps to treat warts in a relatively short period of time: just a few weeks after use, you can forget about the unpleasant growths.
- Apply or rub a few drops of oil into the formation, cover with a sterile bandage.
- After half an hour, remove the bandage, rinse and lubricate the skin with baby cream.
- After 1-2 weeks of use, make a bath with warm water, in which the wart will finally steam and can be removed with a pumice stone.
Tea tree oil

The product is effective but may cause skin irritation.
- Dilute tea tree oil with a small amount of water or olive oil, or preferably with the contents of a vitamin E capsule. Apply the composition to the wart and let it dry.
- The product should be used several times a day for several weeks.
- For faster results, you can apply undiluted oil, but only with a cotton swab and only directly on the wart.You can also take baths with warm water and a few drops of pure tea tree oil 2-3 times a day for 20-30 minutes.
In exotic countries, tea tree oil is successfully used in dermatology.
Tincture of wormwood
Wormwood kills the pathological cells of warts and provokes their death.
- Take 3 tbsp.l chopped wormwood herb and pour boiling water (1 cup), then leave for 2 hours under the lid.
- The prepared composition should be used for daily compresses on areas with growths.
- It will be necessary to carry out the procedures for 3-5 weeks for the results to become noticeable.
You can supplement the effect of treating warts by taking oil tincture of wormwood:
- Take wormwood seeds (25 g), grind them in a coffee grinder and pour olive oil (100 ml) into a glass jar previously scalded with boiling water.
- Leave the product to brew for 3 days in a cool place, then strain well.
- It is necessary to take the tincture for 2 weeks, 5-6 drops at least 4-5 times a day.
Water lentil compress
This swamp plant is able to heal small wounds, have a local anti-inflammatory effect and suppress the growth of wart cells.
All you need for treatment: take water lentil, knead it and apply it to the formations.Repeat several times a day for 2-3 weeks.
Fig juice

Effective in restoring normal skin pigmentation and removing warts.To do this, you need to crush the unripe fruits and apply them as a compress on the growths.You will need to repeat the procedure for as long as it takes to remove the papillomas.
For compresses, you should choose green, not ripe figs.
Kalanchoe
If you grind a leaf of this plant, turning it into a pulp, and apply it to the wart as a compress under plastic wrap, after 6 hours the skin of the formation will soften.
After several sessions, it can be removed with a pumice stone.
Folk remedies for the treatment of warts, no matter how effective they are, should be used wisely and with caution.
There are contraindications for their use:
- not recommended for use in the presence of allergic reactions;
- Warts on the face and mucous membranes should not be removed, as this can lead to scarring;
- Under no circumstances should warts be removed using traditional medicine unless there is complete confidence in their benign nature.
Pay attention!It is worth remembering that these means only remove the external signs of HPV - papilloma, and the virus itself remains in the blood, so the fight against the disease does not lead to the removal of the virus forever.
